Rising Star at Romanceincolor.com

August 14, 2008

I’ve always avoided being interviewed by www.romanceincolor.com since I’m the founder of the website.  However, Senior Editor, La-Tessa Montgomery, convinced me that I need to do an interview.  So, I sat down and tried to answer questions about my work and my latest release, ALWAYS A KNIGHT.  Hope you enjoy the insight into what make me tick. http://www.romanceincolor.com/risingstarjordan.htm

You can also visit Gwyneth Bolton’s blog to see an interview I did there recently.

WHAT I’M READING

August 1, 2008

I’m currently reading two books.

Lisa Gardner’s ALONE.

I read Ms. Gardner’s SURVIVOR’S CLUB and THE PERFECT HUSBAND years ago, and only rediscovered her recently.  Enought said, I went out and purchased all of her books including her most recent, SAY GOODBYE, and am working through them.  Exciting reading…her villians are sick.  I’m enjoying this one which features FBI sniper, Bobby Dodge and a very interesting case with lots of twists.

And the first book in the THE BRADDOCKS: SECRET SON continuity by Adrianne Byrd.  As is expected from Ms. Byrd, HER LOVER’S LEGACY is a secxy witty read.  Next month, September, Robyn Amos’ SEX AND THE SINGLE BRADDOCK will go on sale with books by A.C. Arthur and Brenda Jackson to follow in October and November.

I just finished Angela Benson’s UP POPS THE DEVIL and liked it a lot.  Ms. Benson’s forte is her wonderful characterisation and the menagerie of complex characters is well developed and complex.  I did, however, have a problem with the main protagonist’s naivety, but overall still found the story an inspiring well-written one.

What have you read recently to recommend? Anything to recommend.

A NEW BEGINNING…

July 30, 2008

As of 1st August 2008, I plan to interact with my readers frequently.  Of course, you can do this in several ways.   Join my yahoo.com group; visit my website and join me in the eharlequin.com Community where I’m Host of the Kimani Press area.

My new CONTEST will begin on the 1st August and you can see the prizes on the CONTEST PAGE of this website on that day.  My only requirement is that you join my yahoo.com group, since one of the very special prizes will be available to only members of my group.  Here is the link to my group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/waynejordan/

I look forward to chatting with you about my novels.

MY FOUL UP!

July 28, 2008

First of all let me apologies to everyone who has posted comments to my website.  When I moved to a Word Press format, I hoped for interaction with my readers… Silly me, didn’t realise I need to approve all messages posted.   When I entered the Admin area of my site today ready to post, there were over 400 comments to be approved.  Of course, more that half were SPAM, so I spend the last hour wading throught them.

Over the next few days I’ll be responding to your comments.

Again, my sincerest apologies.

FIRST REVIEW - ALWAYS A KNIGHT - ROMANTIC TIMES MAGAZINE

June 29, 2008

Hi All

It’s just two days before ALWAYS A KNIGHT, the third book in my The Knight Family Trilogy, goes on sale at eharlequin.com as part of Harlequin’s Advance Release program.  ALWAYS A KNIGHT will be available in Mass Paperback and ebook format.  In late July, the book will go on sale in bookstores and online.   I’ll be buying a copy for my Sony Reader, of course.  I’ll post other reviews as they become availible.  Unfortunately, I’ve not received my author copies so I’ve not been able to send out copies for reviews yet.  Hopefully, they’ll come this week.

Romantic Times - Reviewer - Debbie R. Sims

Wayne Jordan’s ALWAYS A KNIGHT (4) impressively allows readers to get to know the complex character of Russell Knight. Set in New York and Barbados, it quietly and consistently weaves an even-paced and entertaining story of love and adventure. Russell, a tough journalist set on finding his own way, lives in New York, where his life is somewhat lonely without his family in Barbados. Tori Matthews, who’s on the brink of realizing her lifelong dream of being a world-renowned singer, meets Russell, and the attraction is instantaneous. But his vision of their future as husband and wife includes her giving up her singing career, so they part for a while. Will their dreams and careers lead them back to one another as they work out their relationship?

ALWAYS A KNIGHT - Back Blurb…

April 27, 2008

Just one look…

When he saw her on stage, Russell Knight was mesmerized by aspiring songstress Tori Matthews.  Everything about her, from her soulful voice to her fiery personality, stirred a passion within him that he could barely contain. Would she be the one to change his playboy ways?

…that’s all it took.

Tori was drawn to Russell the moment she looked into the audience. How could anyone miss those devastating good looks and smoldering eyes?  Just when things begin to heat up between the two, her career comes calling. Will she forego the growing passion between them for a shot at stardom?
